Maine's Midcoast Cold & Dry Storage + Food Processing Facility

Coastal Farms and Foods is an incubator business providing a food processing infrastructure for berry growers, farmers, food processors and food entrepreneurs! Located at 248 Northport Avenue (directions) in Belfast, Maine, Coastal Farms and Foods is the new hub of food processing in the Midcoast, bringing farm products to the facility from farms within a 50-mile radius. Coastal Farms and Foods does not replace the current markets, food coops, farmer's markets or CSA's but instead creates an additional market for locally-grown produce that is less than perfect, increasing farm income and contributing to the security of farmland for farming.

DRY STORAGE

By offering dry storage for farm products, Coastal Farms extends the processing season to twelve months and enable food producers to establish a 12-month processing business. Read More

Frozen berries, frozen vegetables, canned tomato products, canned soups, frozen soups, frozen entrees (...) can now be produced in Belfast from raw ingredients grown in the target area. Read More
